“Achilles Vs. Superman” (Superman #63, March-April 1950) Ed loved the idea of bringing heroes out of the past, such as “Armies of the Past” in Weird Tales in 1939. He would use it many times in the comics.

“Heroes Out of the Past” (Action Comics #147, August 1950) You would think a space hero like Tommy Tomorrow was created by Edmond Hamilton but this not the case. Tommy first appeared in 1947 and was written by Jack Schiff, George Kashdan and Bernie Breslauer.
