The Fane Brothers Mysteries by John Creasey

If you’re a John Creasey fan you will know the names: Baron, Toff, West and Palfrey, along with Department Z. What I didn’t know was Creasey wrote a series of four humorous mysteries about two brothers, Martin and Richard Fane, sons of a famous Mystery writer. Not surprisingly, the boys were based on Creasey’s two sons when they were 10 and 12. He wanted to imagine them as grown men. I’ve started the first one, Find a Body, and it’s a fun read. I’m going to try tackling all four in a row. We’ll see how that goes. I do have a short attention span. For more on this less-well know series:

Another pleasant surprise is that you can get free Creasey books from http://www.johncreaseybooks.com/fane/

You have to subscribe but you get a new one every week! The Creasey heirs run this site to help promote John’s memory. What could be better than free John Creasey books? I believe the first one is Department Z #1.
