If you can’t change your future, change your past!
Time Helmet, is an independent science fiction time travel comedy that is being produced right now in Vancouver, Canada. The film follows the misadventures of inventor Donald Voltmann. Voltman has invented a helmet that lets his mind travel back in time.
The film is based on the Academy Nicholl Fellowship quarter finalist script, written by writer/director Mike Jackson. The film stars talented Vancouver film, TV and voice actor Peter New (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) as the down-on-his-luck inventor. Jackson and New are frequent collaborators, most recently creating the award winning short, Woodman, in just 8 days for the 2017 Crazy8’s film competition.
However, only half of the film is in the can. Now the Time Helmet team is looking to resume shooting. Covid-19 has made filming much more difficult for this production. The original plan didn’t include working within the constraints of a global pandemic.
The Time Helmet team has launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise the additional funds needed to finish the movie while at the same time staying safe, having fun and providing a lot of great experience for the Vancouver cast and crew.
The cast of the film includes Lou Ticzon, Rhona Rees, Bronwen Smith, Paula Burrows and Camryn Macdonald. Along with the main cast, the film will feature special appearances by Peter DeLuise (21 Jump Street, Seaquest DSV, Stargate: SG-1), David Nykl (Stargate: Atlantis, Arrow) and Ryan Beil (iZombie, The Twilight Zone).
