After the 1930s, Raymond Z. Gallun moved away from John W. Campbell and Astounding, only occasionally appearing there. Instead he preferred Mort Weisinger’s Thrilling Wonder or Startling Stories. In 1941 he began a long run of stories for Planet Stories, appearing beside Ray Bradbury and Leigh Brackett, the next generation of super stars. After the death of Pulps, Gallun wrote less but finally penned some novels including People Minus X and The Planet Strappers.
