Spanish-born artist, he found work in America thanks to Gray Morrow and Neal Adams who recommended him to publishers. Much of his work was in the horror genre. His first jobs in Sword & Sorcery was some inking in Sword of Sorcery #1 (February-March 1973), then the Sword of Sorcery #27 cover (July-August 1973) and a Thongor cover (Creatures on the Loose #27, January 1974), some ink work on Wulf the Barbarian #2 (April 1975) before adapting Larry Niven’s anti-S&S tale “Not Long Before the End” in Unknown Worlds of Science Fiction #3 (May 1975).
He also did “Omen in the Skull”, a Kull story for Kull and the Barbarians #3 (September 1975). Alcazar did one strip for Warren, “The Castle, the Dungeon and All” (Vampirella May 1976) before leaving Sword & Sorcery behind. Like most comic artists of that time, he moved into superhero stuff and media related work (Space 1999, Planet of the Apes) for more consistent employment.
Vincente returned to S&S in 2011 for Dungeons & Dragons #10-12 (August-October 2011).
