1953 produced the first real noteworthy story, “The Lord of Batmanor” (Detective Comics #198). This comic was special because Hamilton and Leigh Brackett, his wife, collaborated on it. Ed divided his attention between Superman, Superboy and Batman and Robin. Most of these comics can be read online.
