Podcasts and Pulp

Podcasts and Pulp? Later today you will be able to enjoy the first Dark Worlds Quarterly podcast: “Why Do You Write Pulp?” with G. W. Thomas and M. D. Jackson. It’s a casual conversation on why and how we write the stuff we do. M. D. Jackson talks a little about his new book: Wild Inc: The Shattered Men. G. W. Thomas spills the beans on his new project, Devil’s Gulch.

We have looked at plenty of Pulp fiction here on this blog. We have even talked a little about the New Pulp that is taking independent publishing by storm. In the podcast, GW and MD will go beyond this and look at how Pulp shaped their early reading, their writing and genre fiction since the good old days. If you ever wondered about these two before, here is your chance to find out.

DWQ readers might want to check out these other podcasts first.

G. W. Thomas has had fiction podcasts here:

Pseudopod has been a major broadcaster of horror fiction since 2006. They did two of my Book Collector stories . Like Noir? Like Cthulhu Mythos even more?  Then get ready to meet a detective who must retrieve an eldritch tome in less than twenty-four hours. The clock is ticking and the horrors are rising!

“Goon Job”

“Merlin’s Bane”

Drabblecast – Enjoy the shorter stuff? The Drabblecast specializes in flash fiction and shorter tales. Here is one of my early Mythos tales from The Book of the Black Sun.
