In 1977 DC would lose the Edgar Rice Burroughs franchise, partly due to the lack of sales in Europe for the new Kubert Tarzan (Yes, I know it’s hard to imagine but they were obsessed with Russ Manning.) There were other problems too. Here is the classic scene in Tarzan the Untamed when Tarzan finds Jane at last and saves here from a triceratops. Triceratops? What the heck is that thing?
