Steven Spielberg released Jurassic Park on June 9, 1993 and the dino world exploded. Not since 1973 had such a year contained so many dinosaurs! Topps got the rights to JP and put out a number of titles featuring work by Walt Simonson, Gil Kane and George Perez. Turok Dinosaur Hunter debuted from Valiant Comics. This new version of Turok would become a popular video game later in the decade. Dinosaurs For Hire premiered years before but gained new blood as it parodied Jurassic Park, Turok and other comics.
