Manly Wade Wellman Part 2 (1941-1943)

If you miss it: Part 1 (1927-1940).

The early 1940s were busy for Manly as he wrote Pulps and comics. Wellman wrote comics for Fawcett, which would result in him testifying in the DC vs. Fawcett copyright trial in 1948. He worked on several characters including Aquaman, Captain America, Spy Smasher, The Tarantula and best of all, The Spirit, which appeared in segments in newspapers all over America.

Most of the comic listed here, except The Spirit newspaper segments, are available free from Digital Comic Museum.
