Well, it’s allergy season again and green is to be seen everywhere. The comics always seemed to do plant monster stories in the Spring. Just like in the Pulps! I wonder why!
Turok, Son of Stone used the plant monster idea frequently. Read about it here.
ACG’s Forbidden Worlds and Adventures Into the Unknown were known to use a plant monster once in awhile.
